Philanthropy

The Heartland Naturists believe in Community involvement. We look for ways to help the community while recognizing that many people have misconceptions about nudism/naturism. We select those charities that we believe will appreciate our help.

National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) On Friday, October 20, 2017, the Heartland Naturists held a benefit skinny dip to raise awareness and money for breast cancer prevention and research. Women swam free for the event and donations made were passed along to the NBCF. They thanked us for our $150 contribution in a letter.

Harvesters Food Network On Saturday, April 8, 2017, sixteen members of the Heartland Naturists volunteered their time at the Harvesters Food Network warehouse in Kansas City. They put together 876 meal bags for needy children in the Kansas City metro area. Harvesters is a regional food bank serving a 26-county area of northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas. Harvesters provides food and related household products to more than 620 not-for-profit agencies including emergency food pantries, community kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s homes and others. They also offer education programs to increase community awareness of hunger and teach about good nutrition.

Disabled American Veterans (DAV)
On Saturday, September 26, 2015, the Heartland Naturists had a nude game night and a “Clothes Off Our Backs” clothing drive to benefit the Disabled American Veterans via the Red Racks Thrift Store. We collected 13 large bags and 3 boxes of clothing that was delivered on Saturday, November 23rd. These clothing items were greatly appreciated and will go to help disabled veterans in the Kansas City area. Disabled American Veterans (DAV) On Friday, November 22, 2013, the Heartland Naturists had a nude game night and a “Clothes Off Our Backs” clothing drive to benefit the Disabled American Veterans via the
